Salt Lake City Cooling Tower Treatment
Salt Lake City, Utah cooling tower makeup water is high in conductivity with very high scaling tendencies.
ChemWorld recommends running at 4 cycles and feeding 100 ppm of our ChemWorld 462M (moly tracer) or ChemWorld 462 (PTSA tracer). In addition, a standard
cooling tower biocide should be selected. The image on the left side of the screen is a sample of the city of Salt Lake make up water and the right image is the recommended cycles of concentration. 4 cycles of concentration calculates to a 25% blowdown rate.
