DowCal
TM 200 is propylene glycol-based heat transfer fluid for use in a wide range of applications, including HVAC, ground source heat pumps, and solar panels. Low acute toxicity makes DOWCAL TM 200 especially suitable for applications where toxicity is a concern. DowCalTM 200 advantages are:
- Improved corrosion protection, in particular for aluminum alloys.
- Suitable for use at a minimum of 20% concentration for high and low temperatures.
- Hard water stability to enable use with local tap water.
- Compatible with commonly used elastomers.
- Long fluid lifetime, lowering maintenance cost.
- Low acute oral toxicity.
- Free of nitrite, borax, and CMR (carcinogenic, mutagenic, and reprotoxic).
- Concentrated form (92%). Dilute with water prior to use.

Frequently Asked Questions
- We need Propylene Glycol for an Aluminum system. What do you recommend?
- Dowcal 200 is an aluminum friendly Inhibited Propylene Glycol. The inhibitor package has specifically been designed product systems containing aluminum.
- Do you ship DowCal 200 to Korea/Malaysia/Taiwan?
- We normally do not ship Dowcal 200 directly to Korea, Malaysia or Taiwan but we can ship to freight forwarder of your choice on the US West Coast.
- We are currently using Dowcal 200 40% in our system and are seeing some issues with what looks like corrosion on some parts These parts are Nickel plated Aluminum. Dowcal 200 should protect the Aluminum parts, what could be the issue?
- Dowcal 200 is a aluminum safe inhibited Propylene Glycol. The Nickel plating on the parts is the issue. The nickel plating causes the inhibitor to deplete much faster which then causes the corrosion. If you use parts without the Nickel plating then you shouldn't see any issues.
