Cooling Tower Chemicals
Cooling Tower Chemicals for corrosive water conditions.
What is corrosive water conditions? If your makeup water has low hardness levels, but is corrosive and has a rating of LSI of 0.5 to 1.0, ChemWorld 1244 is the product you want to use for your cooling tower system. For highly corrosive water conditions with an LSI rating less then 0.5, select product ChemWorld 1206.
What is the difference between ChemWorld 1244, ChemWorld 1206, and ChemWorl 1116? ChemWorld 1244 is a treatment program for open, recirculating cooling water systems that has been optimized for scale and corrosion control. The product contains a combination of phosphonates, phosphate, polymeric dispersants and azole specifically formulated to minimize scale, general deposition and corrosion under operating conditions prone to corrosion.
ChemWorld 1244 is a mixture of the following chemicals:
- Potassium Hydroxide (Cas No.1310-58-3)
- Potassium Phosphate (Cas no. 7778-53-2)
- Sodium Tolytriazole (Cas No. 64665-57-2)
- Phosphonocarboxylic Acid, Potassium Salt (Cas No. Proprietary)
- Hydroxyphosphonoacetic Acid, Potassium Salt (Cas No. 129836-12-0)
ChemWorld 1206 is for severe corrosion waters.
ChemWorld 1206 is a treatment program for
open, recirculating cooling water systems that has been optimized for
corrosion and scale control. The product contains a combination of
phosphonates, phosphate, polymeric dispersants and azole that provides
system protection under
severely corrosive operating conditions.
ChemWorld 1206 is a mixture of the following chemicals:
- Potassium Hydroxide (Cas No.1310-58-3)
- Potassium Phosphate (Cas No. 7778-53-2)
- Sodium Tolytriazole (Cas No. 64665-57-2)
- Potassium PolyPhosphate (Cas No. 7320-34-5)
- Polyacrylate TerPolymer, Sodium Salt (Cas No. Proprietary)
- 2-Phosphonobutane-1 2,4- TriCarboxylic Acid, Potassium Salt (Cas No. 3858-78-7)
ChemWorld 1116 is the most superior corrosion inhibitor for cooling towers. The limiting factor is the product contains Zinc and many waste water facilities will not allow zinc to be discharged to the sewer. Please check with your local municipal before using. If you are using a zinc product and are using a zinc product, you still need to see if you are in compliance.
ChemWorld 1116 is a mixture of the following chemicals:
- Sulfonated CoPolymer (Proprietary)
- 1-Hydroxyethylidene-1, 1-Diphosphonic Acid (Cas No. 2809-21-4)
- Sulfuric Acid (Cas No. 7664-93-9)
- Zinc Chloride (Cas No. 7646-85-7)
- Sodium Molybdate (Cas No. 10102-40-6)
- Benzotriazole (Cas No. 95-14-7)
