What is an anti-corrosion chemical? An anti-corrosion chemical is added to cooling water systems that have extensive metals that require protection against corrosion.
What is an anti-scaling chemical? An anti-scaling chemical is added to the water system to increase the solubility limits of calcium and magnesium in the process water.
How much chemical do I feed? Every system is different. First, ask what the chemical feed rate is in parts per million (ppm). Then calculate the amount of chemical required to treat the system. For biocides, dipslides should be used to monitor bacteria development. After your select your water treatment program, do not forget to automate your system with a cooling tower controller to control your blowdown rate.
